Brilliant place to stay. Very friendly atmosphere, every need was met with terrific standards and the the breakfast in the morning was of the highest standards. Very easy to find, reasonable prices. Definately somewhere I would recommend to stay.

This is a common misconception in Western countries. You cannot actually translate a western name to Chinese. When the Chinese choose a name, they choose 2 characters that have good meaning: ie Obtain Glory. There are some characters that have more common use together as names. That's as close as it gets.

Western names are usually transliterated, ie they use common name characters that have a similar sound to your western name, and a decent meaning. There are common ones used for certain western names - most tattoo parlours have these lists, which show the commonly used character set for that name. If you ask a parlour for your name, that is what you will get. Unless they manage to copy the character incorrectly, then you are getting what you paid for, and there is no come-back.

I always suggest that people get a personal character name from a real Chinese person who grew up in China and knows the characters; preferably one with decent brush skills; and get them to write the characters for you before you go, in a nice script that the artist can copy. Then check with another Chinese person to make sure it means what you want it to mean. This is a language with a LOT of in-jokes.

This is a lovely clothes shop. The two ladys that own the shop are very friendly and go out of there way to help you. The clothes are beautiful with a very good selection of boys and girls. They also sell accesiories for childrens bedrooms and hats etc. I am so glad this shop has come to Leek its just what the town needed. Well Done to the owners !!

had a chinese tattoo done by Nidge Ink Slinger bout 8 years ago.saying my name in chinese.i ask him on the day of the tattoo as he got my name in chinese he said yes i had it done.only just found it its not my name!!!!its wrong.well done nidge good job not!!

Voted the top 5 in the country, included in the Good Food Guide, several other awards and re-rated by health after penalising them for refurbishment as 5 star. Easily the best place in Leek
